Cloves

Chewing aromatic spices like cloves after every heavy meal kills bacteria on teeth and tongue, and eliminates bad breath naturally. Cloves are rich source of eugenol, and has strong antimicrobial, antiseptic and anti bacterial properties.

9. Chew cloves

Chew 1-2 cloves after every heavy meal. The strong and spicy aromatic oil of clove may burn your mouth slightly, so keep the cloves moving in your mouth, let the clove essence leak into your mouth and then spit it out, if you swallow it, then don’t worry, it is not harmful. This will kill bacteria on your tongue, teeth and throat as well.


10. Clove tea

Crush 2-3 cloves and add them in your regular or herbal boiling tea and consume 2-3 times a day. You may use clove powder or 4-5 drops of clove oil in your tea or coffee.

Remember

Don’t consume clove oil directly or don’t put clove oil and powder in your mouth directly, as it is slightly strong and may burn your mouth and tongue. So mix them in cold or warm water and use as mouthwash.


Orange peel

An orange peel contains citric acid which stimulates our salivary glands and promotes the breath freshening saliva in our mouth, which removes odor causing bacteria on the teeth and tongue.



11. Orange peel powder

Dry some orange peels in sunlight and make powder of it or you can buy readymade orange peel powder from store but make sure, it is pure. Add 1 tablespoon of orange peel powder in ½ glass of warm water and use as mouthwash. Do this 2-3 times a day to remove all bacteria that causes bad breath.


12. Chew orange peel

Simply chew small pieces of fresh orange peels or dried peels for 4-5 minutes and spit out or swallow it. Then swish warm water around the mouth for 5-10 seconds.



13. Orange peels tea

Add some dried orange peels or 1 teaspoon of orange peel powder in your regular or herbal boiling tea. Consume this warm tea 2-3 times a day.


Ginger

Most of the time bad breath relates to poor digestion, acidity, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach etc. In this case you have to cure these inner problems. 


14. Ginger with cloves

Boil 1 tablespoon of ginger paste or juice in glass of boiling water and also add 2 crushed cloves in this boiling water. Strain the water and use this warm water as mouthwash. Swish this water around mouth and gargle. Do this 2-3 times a day or after every heavy meal.


15. Ginger with honey

Mix 1 tablespoon of ginger paste or juice with 1 tablespoon of honey. Consume this mixture 30 minutes before your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Consume this mixture 5 minutes after breakfast, lunch and dinner too. Consuming this mixture before meal encourages your appetite and consuming after meal promotes fast digestion and removes acidity.




16. Ginger with lemon

Mix 1 tablespoon of ginger juice or paste with 1tablepsoon of lemon juice in glass of boiling water and use this warm water to swish around your mouth and gargle.


18. Basil/ tulsi

1.    Chew 5-6 fresh green basil/tulsi leaves and then drink small glass of warm water.

2.    Crush 10-15 fresh green basil/tulsi leaves and boil them in 2 cup of water. Use this water as natural mouthwash, wish this water around mouth and gargle for few minutes. Follow this daily for better result.

19. Pomegranate peel powder

Add 1 tablespoon of pomegranate peel powder in glass of boiling water and use this warm water as your regular mouthwash and gargle.


20. Vegetables and fruits

Fresh vegetables and fruits help you to get rid of bad breath. Vegetables and fruits like celery, carrots, beetroot, apple; guava kills bacteria and plaque, promotes bacteria fighting saliva production and removes bad breath naturally.
