Moisturizing tips for Dry, Oily Skin. Look younger, Repair damaged skin naturally.

Skin and face moisturizer is very essential factor in skin care nourishment. Normally our skin loses moisture when exposed to the sun and cold conditions. Regular moisturizing the skin and application of defensive moisturizers is very essential on regular basis. People with all kinds of skin must keep the skin hydrated. 

Moisturizer gives protection to our skin against environmental damages. Different kind of skin requires different moisturizers and the levels of hydration. Moisturizer hydrates our skin effectively. It makes it soft, glowing and healthy. There are many chemical based moisturizers are accessible in the market. Some of these chemicals can be damaging to the skin. 

The moisturizer has to maintain the skin hydrated but should not block the skin pores. Skin absorbs the moisturizer so try to apply natural skin moisturizers. 

You can make several natural face moisturizers for skin at home easily. Before this try to follow below tips to keep your skin moisturized and healthy.

1. Water

The human body is about 60% water, give or take. Our body continuously losing water, mostly through urine and sweat. The human body doesn’t have any capable system of storing water; hence we must restock the water all the time.

Drink lots of water regularly. Water helps to keep our body hydrated and can ease dry & dull skin to a great extent. 8-10 glasses or 2 liter water is the minimum requirement of our body, but if possible, we should drink more 2-3 glasses than that.

2. Adequate Sleep

Take adequate sleep. Human body needs at least 8-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. Inadequate and interrupted sleep snatches hydration from our skin.

3. Skin exposure

Reduce your exposure to exhausting elements such as dry heat, low humidity, harsh winds, sun, high altitude, long baths and consumption of alcohol. 

Also avoid the use of stripping soaps. All these things can stop the loss of natural oils from our skin, these natural oils are very essential in skin nourishment and natural moisturizing.

4. Almond oil

Drink warm glass of milk mixed with 1-2 teaspoon almond oil, before you go to bed at night, this works awesomely to keep body and facial skin nourished & moisturized internally.

5. Essential Fatty Acids

Increase the consumption of food that rich in the omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids (EFA) for examples flaxseed, walnuts, almonds, salmon, mackerel fish, Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, broccoli etc, olive oil, wholegrain food, nuts and seeds and avocados can help our skin cells stay hydrated.

6. Baby lotion

Baby lotion is one of the finest moisturizing lotions that you can apply on your skin. Moisturizing creams and lotions for adults normally contains hidden chemicals that may actually damage your skin & makes your skin dry if used regularly. 

Some baby lotion and moisturizers are not good for adult skin such as Johnson baby lotion, because it contains fragrance, parabens and oil and these elements will clog pores. You could end with acne and pimples on your skin if your skin is very sensitive. But you can try oil free and fragrance free baby moisturizing lotion.

Before going to bath, apply 1 tablespoon of honey on your face 5-10 minutes before bath, after 5-10 minutes take bah and wash your face with normal water at the end of your bath. Do not use soap or face wash cream. Follow this regularly and see the effects in 2 weeks. Honey is one of the greatest natural moisturizers.

7. Coconut oil, vitamin E, Lavender


4 tablespoon pure coconut oil
1 tablespoon liquid vitamin E or tea tree oil
Half teaspoon Lavender essential oil


Take coconut oil, liquid vitamin E or tea tree oil and lavender essential oil in small bowl and mix all these ingredients properly to make smooth and buttery moisturizer. Apply this moisturizer over the skin in the morning and the evening or before going to bed.

Coconut oil is very beneficial for oily as well as dry skin; it will moisturize your skin deeply without any greasy feeling. On the other hand vitamin E and tea tree oil will refresh your skin and cure skin problems like dark spots, acne, pimples and dryness, roughness of the skin.
